In a price-driven fitness market, we helped PureGym move from tactical campaign logic to long-term brand building. Grounded in deep insights, we launched the brand platform "Feel PureGym Good" in Denmark with the concept "Unleash Feel Good".
The result is a stronger, emotionally anchored brand with a solid foundation for preference and loyalty.

Challenge
PureGym operates in an extremely price- and convenience-driven market with low loyalty among members. The category is dominated by offers and tactical messaging, which creates constant pressure to communicate in a short-term and sales-oriented way.
Even though the brand had the market's highest level of awareness and dominated share of voice, it was largely caught in the same tactical logic. Awareness did not translate into differentiation, clear positioning, or emotional preference among Danes.
At the same time, PureGym wanted to grow the market by reaching broader target audiences who do not necessarily see themselves as classic fitness users. This required a fundamental shift from rational product communication to emotional brand building.

Solution
Through an in-depth insight study, we identified a central cultural truth: For Danes, "feeling good" is not about transformation or grand goals, but about small, quiet moments of balance, peace, and personal pride. On this basis, we developed an emotional and culturally rooted direction that repositions the brand from being in the fitness category to occupying a role in the “feel-good category”.
The launch took place through a 100% brand-led “above the line” setup. A significant strategic choice in a category otherwise dominated by tactical offers, price messages, and performance-driven communication. The communication was built around short, honest questions that turned everyday stress into small victories and invited the target group to define for themselves what a “feel good” moment is for them.
